Ministry to the Needy!

‘Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures came to Ephesus. This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John. So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.
And when he desired to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace, for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ’.
Acts 18: 24-28
From the Editor…
Dearly beloved in Christ,
Greetings to you in the living and loving name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
Man now has control over many things. He controls others successfully. He controls the nature to some extent. He has control over all creatures. But he has no control over himself. This is because of the sinful nature in him.
It has been demonstrated scientifically without doubt that cigarette smoking and taking drugs affect the health and the family. But millions of people still smoke and take drugs. You may wonder the reason for this paradoxical behaviour of man!
It is because man is sinful. He is sinful not because he commits sin. He is sinful only because he has sinful nature in him. All the scientific discoveries, and the intelligence and human wisdom have no solution for this problem. Only Jesus is the solution. Acts 4:12.
As one who has enjoyed the salvation available in Christ Jesus, let us start telling the truth to others around us. Only Jesus is the answer to their smoking habit and drug or sex addiction. Will you commit yourself for the ministry of bringing such people who have gone astray, back to God? May the Lord raise such men of God and families like Aquila and Priscilla to bring the stranded people back to God.
