“Wives submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife…, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

Husbands love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it… Husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as the Lord does the church… Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself and let the wife see that she respects her husband”

Dearly beloved in Christ,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,

‘Newsweek’ magazine released a special edition on family in 1990. In that issue of the magazine, Mala Burt wrote, “We will all have to work toward changing our internal maps of what a family should be”. She wanted people to fully understand family, to avoid conflicts in the family life.

Most of the families in our country, pass through intense stress and strain because of wrong ideas and views about family and marriage. In this issue we are dealing with the Biblical teaching on this important topic. If each family understands this clear teaching and puts them into practise, then most of the problems in Christian families will be resolved.

May the Lord help Christian family members to understand and obey the commandments of the Lord on family in the Bible to have a successful and useful family life.
