Resisting Sexual Sins

“Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

For this is the will of God, your sanctification;  that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honour, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit”.

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and SAVIOUR Jesus Christ,

Once a Principal of a leading school, invited a specialist to speak on the topic, ‘What is sex?’ to his students. The specialist gave a series of talks on ‘sex’. He explained clearly and logically ‘What is sex?’ At the close of his seminar, all the students said that the talks on sex were more informative and useful.

On the next day, the principal gave a piece of paper to each student, and asked them to write down the answer to some questions. To his dismay he found that nearly all the students did not answer the question ‘What is sex?’ Do you know why they preferred to answer other questions, and avoided that direct question on sex? It is because they avoided talking or writing openly on sex. In this issue, we have dealt with the topic, ‘How to resist sexual sins?’ Many Christians have problems in the area of sex, and they hesitate to talk about it to others. Kindly pray with us for the usefulness of the magazine to all of us in one way or the other.
