Stewardship of God’s Heritage!

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is His reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate”.

“Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. When you eat the labour of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house, your children like olive plants all around your table. Behold thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord”.

Dearly beloved in Christ,

Greetings to you in the living and loving name of our Lord and SAVIOUR Jesus Christ,

Last year I stayed in the house of a Christian leader in my preaching tour. He was a good believer, actively involved in the Lord’s ministry. But there was no regular family prayer in his house. When I enquired his son about his spiritual life, he said, “Uncle, I haven’t attended the Church for the last one month. I go to the Church with my parents. But I make it a point to stay outside the Church with my friends and I am not able to read the Bible and pray”. 

In the family, I found that there was a big barrier between the boy and his parents. When the barrier was broken down, there was a marked change in the spiritual life of the boy.

The Bible says that children are the heritage from the Lord and they are like choice arrows in the hand of a warrior. If they are brought up in the fear of the Lord, then the family will be blessed one and the children will be like olive plants all around the table.
