Facts about Hinduism

There are about 725 million Hindus in the world and about 675 million Hindus in India.
In the total population of the world, 13.5 percent people are Hindus. They are more than the total number of Protestants in the world (10.3%).
In the world, there are three Hindu countries. They are India, Nepal and Mauritius. Among these countries, India is a secular country open for the gospel. Nepal is gradually opening for the gospel and Mauritius is a country closed for missionary activities.
The Hindus are present as minority in eleven other countries in the world. Now Hinduism is spreading fast in the west by Hindu religious movements and Guruism.
More than 90% of the Hindus of the world live in India and they worship 33 million gods. In some states of India, legislation has been made prohibiting conversion and special privileges are stopped for the new converts. Shall we pray for this discrimination to be removed soon?
Missionaries from other countries are not permitted to work in India and it is very difficult to get visa for new workers. But all Christians in India have the fundamental right to preach the gospel anywhere in India now. Will all India Christians use the open door to present the gospel before the door in India may be closed? “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the right is coming when no one can work” John 9:4.
