- Teach the child to avoid sin. When he tells lies or steals money, tell him that it is sin and ask him to confess his sin to the Lord.
- Teach the child to say ‘sorry’ and ask for forgiveness to anybody against whom he has committed a mistake.
- Teach him not to insist upon having certain things that you cannot afford. He may demand a two wheeler or lot of money to spend with his friends, which the parent must politely decline to give him.
- Teach him to avoid harmful literature or bad friends or TV or film shows that will spoil his mind and do much harm to his spiritual life.
- Teach him to avoid bad friends and harmful contacts to avoid the enslavement of sin and bad habits.
- Teach him the Word of God and train him to be a Christian disciple.
- Teach him to have daily devotional time alone with God. Insist on him to attend family prayers, worship services and retreats.
