Taking Captive Every Thought

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when our obedience is fulfilled”.  2 Corinthians 10:3-6

From the Editor…

Dearly beloved in Christ,

Special seasonal greetings to you, in our Lord’s most holy name.

Earl Wilson in his article, ‘Controlling Our Thoughts’ wrote, “We live in a sexually explicit society, and it has created a generation of people obsessed with body and sex. Modern music and video technology have brought sexual stimuli right into our cars and living rooms. The only way to escape is by controlling our thoughts”.

Many believers find it difficult to control their thoughts. The greatest need of all of them is the renewal of their mind. Only God, who created them, can help them. He is willing to help all of us and we must be willing to give ourselves completely to Him. Then the war that we wage is not in the flesh; but in the Spirit. Our weapons of warfare are not carnal but mighty in God, which brings down every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ. II Cor. 10:3-6.
