The biblical Teaching on Assurance of Salvation
- No Condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus:
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Rom.8:1,2.
- Justified by faith:
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Rom.5: 1,2.
- Justified by the blood of Jesus Christ and saved from wrath through Him:
“But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” Rom.5:8,9.
- Redeemed by Jesus Christ:
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” Eph.1:7
- Jesus Christ is the propitiation for our sins:
“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” 1 John 2:1,2. Sealed with the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of our inheritance: “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of Our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” Eph. 1:13, 14.
- Those who believe in Jesus Christ will have everlasting life:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.” John 6:47.
- Those who believe on Jesus Christ will have eternal life and will be raised in the last day:
“And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40.
- Life threatening possibilities will not separate from the love of God:
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through- Him who loved us. For l am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom.8:37-39.
- Kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation:
You, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Pet.1:5 8
- God will be able to keep us until His day of coming:
‘For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.” 2 Tim. 1:12.
- Jesus Christ will be able to keep you from falling away:
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.” Jude 24.
- Those who receive Jesus Christ by faith become children of God:
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children God, to those who believe in His name.John 1:12.
