The Gospel of St. Paul

The Content: Jesus died and rose again for our sins “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you … that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” I Cor 15:1, 3, 4.

The Clarification: Redemption through His blood so the gospel according to St. Paul is that “Jesus Christ gave Himself for our sins” Gal 1:4 and “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace” Eph 1:7. “All believers have, ‘redemption, through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” Col 1:14.

The Condition: Saved by faith and grace “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes…” Rom 1:16. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” Eph 2:8, 9.
